Hey readers, sorry for the delay in blogs its been a busy week. Last week was fun as always. One day in the seedlings room they babies got to paint with their tiny feet. They loved it, Miss Weichman took some good pictures of it. The sprouts loved the new musical toys they got. They also enjoyed playing with the ocean in a bottles Miss Wright made for the Academy. Claire liked to beat it on the floor and laugh. She is such a stinker.

The bigger kids enjoyed lots of things also. The Pinecones did things like drawing and coloring on butcher paper. Miss Rodseth made paint bags for the little ones to play with. They love the way the paint rolls around in the bag. The Twigs class is gettting SOOO good at signing. They have learned the seasons and some of the months. Such smart kids they are. The Elms are studying the solar system. They have learned about each planet and even made some of their own planets to hang in the room.

Wow it was sure a good week and so far this week is good too. A big congrats to Miss Didesch for having a successful seminar last Saturday. Miss Koch and Miss Rodseth each spoke at the seminar also. Party Day Friday

Friday at A+ Children's Academy was our party day. We first celebrated Coopers 2nd birthday. He brought in cupcakes to share with his friends. They loved celebrating his birthday with him. He has now moved into Miss Kochs room. Later that afternoon we celebrated Valentines Day. Thank you to the parents who donated food and games and another thank you goes out to those who came in to enjoy the party with us. It was a great day.

Although Friday was our party day the seedlings and sprouts are to young to really have a party, we didnt foret them though. Brady arrived with his "My 1st Valentines Day" bib and Katlyn, Rachel and Claire wore adorable red and pink outfits. They sure dressed for the day.

Well today was a good friday at A+ Children's Academy we had lots of fun. The seedlings and sprouts joined today since we were low. Katlyn one of the older infants did something that amazed me today. As I fed her breakfast she was about done with her cereal when she signed to me all done. Now we teach sign language in all the classrooms but I had never had a child at that age sign something to me and mean it, most of the babies sign but it may be after we did it or just signing for no reason. It was really great. It made me as a teacher want to teach sign language even more.

In the Twigs class they got to make guacamole and sample it and they also tried lemons. Rachels face was priceless when she tried it. It was pretty funny. They also read the story Green Eggs and Ham and had a silly dance contest. The Pinecones had fun playing outside and playing in the water table in the classroom. All in all it was a pretty good day at A+ Children's Academy.

We are all very excited for the warm weather that is approaching. It means we get outside more and get to go experimenting on the grounds of the academy. Stop by next week for another great blog.

Well I havent been on for about a week. OOPS!! The academy has been so busy doing all sorts of fun things. This week the seedlings talked about bubbles. Well they just listened to Miss Stephanie talk. She did some fun art stuff. One day she put food coloring in a cup with soap and water and blew bubbles. The colorful bubbles fell out of the cup and landed on the paper. It was awesome. The babies loved it. The sprouts made one of they're buddies Kaydon a birthday card. He turned one on the 18th. Miss Weech and Miss Horn helped them make the card, they used they're fists and fingerprints to make flowers with they're names on them. Kaydon sure loved it.

The Pinecones, Twigs, and Elms had a special visiter who told them all about the Chinese New Year. Today they put on a Chinese New Year Parade. Miss Koch and Miss Joslin helped them make a dragon out of paper bags and construction paper. They paraded around the academy to show us what they did. It was really neat and they felt pretty special.

So all in all it was another great week at A+ Children's Academy. The kids had a lot of fun. We even got to get outside a few times. Spring must come soon so we can get outside even more.
